Q. What is the Elite version of the Delaware Mud Run?
A. The Delaware Competitive / Elite Mud Run is a tougher, longer, more demanding course with challenging obstacles. The course will have more than 25 Signature O.C.R style obstacles through a tougher terrain. The Elite version is not a team run but only for individuals.

This is NOT a casual 5k run. This is a timed, competitive race on a challenging course that is going to push your physical limits and have you walking away wanting MORE……

Q. What are the main reasons TO TAKE ON THIS COURSE?
A. It is an extremely muddy, highly competitive 7 mile run, brand new to Delaware and 100% of the proceeds benefit cancer research (it’s a win, win)

Event workers and marshals for DMR Elite will be scattered throughout the entire course, some in plain view and others in the trees and mud. Cheating and course cutting will not be tolerated. You will get caught, and when you are, you will be disqualified. Your race fee will not be refunded. This race has been created to crank up the competition and to raise funds for blood cancer research – so dig deep, push your limits, and have fun!

Q. Is there a charge for PARKING?
A. General parking pass is included with each participant’s registration.  However, additional passes can be purchased at packet pick up.

General parking is $10 per car and $20 day of race (cash only).  Preferred parking (must be purchased in advance) $60.

Q. What is the schedule for the day?
8:00am  Competitive/Elite Men
8:15am  Competitive/Elite Women
9:00am  Original 5k Mud Run

Q. What will Delaware Mud Run Elite FINISHERS RECEIVE (for elite only)?
A. Elite Finishers Medel and an Elite Finishers T-Shirt

Q. What time should participants arrive?
Arrive an hour before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, get warmed up and scout some of the many awesome obstacles located in the start / finish / spectator areas.

Q. What should we bring to the race?
Your ID and Health insurance card
Bib and parking pass
Towel & extra (dry) clothes
Recommended: Camelback for additional hydration.

A. What do I wear?
There is no dress code. You’ll be running in mud and water and climbing hills, jumping trees, carrying logs, buckets of stone, swinging from ropes like Tarzan and if you’re lucky, running with the bulls.

Be sure to tie shoelaces up tightly.

Our elite competitors recommend: performance gear (NOT COTTON), water packs and compression underwear. Advice from experience: race in what you train in – new shoes on race day are NOT recommended.

Q. When and where is packet pick up?

A. June 4th and 5th from 12noon until 8pm. The location is Blue Diamond Park, 761 Hamburg Road, New Castle, DE 19720 Click for Directions

Please note:  some GPS and route guidance apps will say that Blue Diamond Park is closed (which it is) however, you can still access the property via the address above.  When you turn into the park, off of Hamburg Road, you will then make first right (you will see Mud Run flags) and we will be down on the right side in our Mud Run Trailer.

A. Downstate Packet Pick up will be on Wednesday, June 6th from 10am until 2pm at the Royal Farms in Milford, DE, located on Route 1 next to the Grottos (also on Rt. 1).  Click for directions

Q. Where there be packet pick up the day of the event?
Technically, NO!  A packet picked up on the day of event will be an additional $50 per participant- NO exceptions! 

We have volunteers working for 2 1/2 days, for packets to be picked up before the run.  You can send a friend, family member, neighbor, anyone… to pick up your packet, if you can’t make it on one of the dates above.  Come on your lunch hour, come before or after work.
